Virginia Wedding Photographer
I love traveling in Virginia. The landscapes are so inspiring! In the area of Lexington, the mountains are always in the background, which provides a lot of opportunities for awesome Virginia engagement sessions! Plus, I do not mind putting on some hiking shoes to take fabulous pictures on top of the Appalachian.
When I arrived at Irvine Estate, I found Michela very relaxed, even if she did not have the weather for which everyone hoped. However, it did not matter anymore because she was surrounded by all her best friends, her mom, and her 85-year-old grandmother. It was the same for the groom, getting ready in a House Mountain Inn bedroom, while the bride was in the Irvine Estate bed and breakfast. They were very happy to be in Virginia with their loved ones.
Dark days can be challenging for wedding photographers. We tried to take as many pictures as we could outside, such as the groom and his groomsmen and also the first look. Soon, however, the rain started and never stopped. It does not happen often, but I had to use my lighting equipment to shoot the family formals outside. We also tried to be quick: it was so cold already!
Fortunately, the wedding ceremony was under a largely protected terrace with a magnificent view. So, neither the pouring rain nor the cold could ruin it!
