Jillian and Michael’s Wedding at District Winery

As a Washington DC wedding photographer, District Winery in Navy Yard is one of my favorite venues to photograph. It’s a super classy wedding venue and you get a fantastic view of the Potomac River!

Jillian and Michael’s wedding day was so beautiful. They postponed 4 times from 2020 to 2021 so we could not believe that we were finally taking their wedding pictures! It was a moment that we were both looking forward to for some time now!

Jillian and Michael got ready together and it was very stress-free and they were able to really enjoy the small moments of their big way! In the stairway going to the venue, they had a lot of pictures of their family and everyone enjoyed stopping to admire them. That was such a sweet touch on their wedding day!

This is one of DC’s most sought-after wedding venues, offering a unique blend of urban charm and waterfront views. It provides a modern yet elegant setting for couples who want a mix of city sophistication and scenic beauty. The industrial-chic design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and open, airy event spaces create the perfect backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions. Whether you’re exchanging vows with the backdrop of the Anacostia River or dancing the night away in their stunning indoor space, District Winery ensures your wedding is both beautiful and memorable.

What sets District Winery apart is its in-house wine production, allowing couples to incorporate custom wine experiences into their celebration. From personalized wine bottles as wedding favors to a wine tasting experience during cocktail hour, it’s a perfect touch for wine-loving couples. The venue also offers full-service event planning, catering, and a dedicated team that ensures every detail is flawlessly executed. District Winery is ideal for couples looking for a sophisticated yet relaxed space, combining the best of DC’s waterfront and urban vibes.

My favorite part about this wedding is that I knew they were my dream clients. As soon as Jillian reached out to me she assured me she loved the more photojournalism style that I practice and that she was a huge fan of relaxed photos with not much posing. It makes all the difference when you truly trust your photographer to capture your day and that meant so much to me!

After 4 reschedules and the long-awaited celebration of Jillian and Michael, their day truly turned out to be such a stunning and emotional day that I am so thankful to have captured for them! If you are engaged and looking for a Washington DC wedding photographer, I’d love to talk with you more. You can inquire with me here. Looking forward to chatting more with you!
