Eloping in DC means you can embrace the simplicity and romance of your special day while still having the option for an elegant celebration. With countless stunning backdrops, your photos will capture the essence of your love story. As your elopement photographer, I’m dedicated to documenting every heartfelt moment with beautiful, candid photos that reflect your unique style and connection.
Plus, DC offers some fantastic options for celebrating after the ceremony, whether it’s an intimate dinner at a cozy restaurant, a stroll through a museum, or a nighttime cruise on the Potomac. I’ll be there to capture it all, ensuring that your day is as unforgettable as your love story. Let’s make your DC elopement a magical and memorable experience!
An elopement means that you are tying the knot and celebrating with just yourselves or a small gathering. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you secretly run away, but instead, choose to keep it simple. It takes a lot of stress out of your life. It is a personal, intimate, and romantic alternative for couples who want their day to be focused on what they both want to do.
Elopement photography refers to photographs of couples who are getting married in a minimal setting. We are celebrating you as a couple! We will create artful couple portraits in a location of your choosing. Elopement photos usually end as albums, large prints, or collages.
My elopement sessions allow for two locations of your choosing. I always advise my couples to choose a location that has a special meaning to them. Does the location answer this question: who are you as a couple? If your location answers this, you found a great place to capture a meaningful session.
You can have so much fun with your attire! You got no pressure from the family or friends. I had a bride who picked a black dress while her now husband picked a white suit.
I think that it won’t come as a surprise to them if they know you. But remember that Covid made eloping quite popular and many people now know what it means. I would suggest telling your parents and/or loved ones as soon as you have made your decision to elope. Maybe sit down with them over dinner or coffee and break the news face to face.

We’ll work together to make sure I’m there for all the great moments you expect, and the ones you don’t. You’ll never have to worry about planning your day around the photographer’s schedule.
