You can check my list of 25+ wedding venues if you are looking for the perfect venue in Washington DC.

Hotel Washington

This a very well-known spot in town because of its amazing view. This is an artsy, modern hotel housed in a storied 1917 Beaux-arts building that is a block from the White House and an 8-minute walk from the metro. Most people enjoy the excellent food, as well as the drink menu. This is for couples looking for a very Washingtonian engagement party venue!

Gravitas

Looking for a Michelin-starred restaurant to welcome your engagement or wedding party? This is it: a minimalist, industrial-chic venue featuring New American tasting menus with locally sourced fare. If you are a food lover, Chef Matt Baker will make the perfect menu to savor with your loved ones. The rooftop is also a very beautiful space with a glassed-in terrace where the bar is set up.

Martin’s Tavern

For almost nine decades, visiting guests, future presidents, senators, staffers, and stars have all called Martin’s Tavern their home away from home. It’s where JFK proposed to Jackie, one block north on Wisconsin Ave from the center of Georgetown at Wisconsin and M. This is a very classy speakeasy that takes on some extra personality when you enter the far corner old-school sports memorabilia dining area. It's a small space and old furniture in that room but that adds to the effect and you feel like you're in the 1940s. This is perfect for an intimate engagement party in the capital.

101 Constitution Roof Terrace

Nothing screams more DC than this venue. Either for an engagement or a wedding party, this place is a wow for the eyes! The Terrace at 101 Constitution is the place to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the panoramic views of our Nation’s Capital. And it is the perfect spot for couple portraits!

Congressional Club

The Congressional Club is a historic residence, located at 2001 New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the U Street Corridor neighborhood. This is a beautiful venue for a large engagement party in the capital!

The best way to tell honest stories is through keen observation. How do I know? Because I spent 15 years as a journalist before becoming a wedding photographer.

By paying attention to the ways you interact with your loved ones, I capture the in-between moments that will, one day, be significant. And using a trained eye and subtle approach, I do so unobtrusively.

As one of the top 120 wedding photojournalists in the world according to the Wedding Photojournalist Association and a member of the World’s Best Wedding Photographers, I know exactly when to step in and capture a moment - without overtaking the interaction.
