Lisa and Daniel’s Wedding in Georgetown

Lisa and Daniel’s intimate church wedding was one of my favorite weddings of 2021! Not just because of their beautiful wedding day, but also because this was not the first time that the couple and I had met. Lisa and Daniel did an engagement session with me the year before which you can check out on my blog post here.

The couple had originally planned to get married in May 2021, but since most of their family members had to travel from South Korea, they had to delay their wedding plans to make sure everyone could attend the celebration!

Wedding Day Timelines + Getting-Ready Photos

Typically, when photographing a wedding, I help the couple create a timeline for their day. In Lisa and Daniel’s original timeline they opted not to include any getting-ready photos. However, the day began running late, so I started documenting Lisa getting ready at the Park Hyatt hotel in Washington DC. I’m so glad I did because those pictures are now some of her favorites from the day!

An Intimate Georgetown Wedding

Lisa and Daniel’s religious ceremony was set to take place at the Epiphany Catholic Church in Georgetown so we all made our way over to the church, but not before I snapped a few quick photos of Lisa and Daniel’s first look moments.

After the wedding ceremony, we took the couple’s portraits in a nearby park. As it was one day before Halloween, we couldn’t resist taking a portrait in front of a nicely decorated house.

This Georgetown wedding was so intimate and special and one that I hold close to my heart.
