Jake and Liz’s Proposal in Navy Yard

When Jake contacted me, he had a plan to propose in the Navy Yard but not an exact location (if you are looking for one, check out my blog post about the most romantic locations in DC). We pinned down the Yards Park at sunset.

As a DC Proposal photographer, I love to plan our session at the end of the day to ensure that we get the golden hour, the famous dreamy light we all love for a proposal session. “The photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined! 10/10 recommend Natasha if you’re planning a surprise proposal to capture this special moment”, Jake said on his Google review.

We finalized the plan during our pre-proposal consultation when I asked all my final questions about time, preferences, and locations. Jake says it best : “She’s a total pro and was hidden perfectly to capture the proposal and then held a mini session with us after to capture some more photos.”

I know that a lot of people wonder if it’s worth it to hire a proposal photographer. For Jake, it was a no-brainer. “Totally worth it to remember the moment and be able to share with loved ones.”
