intimate queer wedding in chevy chase

mel + sam

Sam and Mel wanted a wedding that felt easy. From our first conversation, they shared the same concern. They didn’t want to feel watched or pulled away from their people. They wanted to actually live their day. When we talked, I focused on listening. Not just to their plans, but to what mattered most. Being present. Feeling comfortable. Trusting that nothing important would be missed. I made sure they knew they didn’t need to pose or perform to get meaningful photos. My role was simple. Protect the flow of the day. Step in only when it helped. Step back when it mattered. Sam and Mel got the wedding they dreamed of because they were free to be themselves. I took care of the rest.

Mel and Sam wanted to have a big celebration that felt intimate at Woodend Sanctuary.
