Steve and Leslie’s Christmas Proposal at the Hay Adams

As a proposal photographer in Washington DC, location is everything. It’s my main conversation with the partner who wants to propose.

Steve already knew what he wanted and I just had to execute his wish! He booked two days at the Hay Adams, a historic hotel next to the White House. He wanted to propose on the rooftop to have the view on the White House. Then, he wanted us to enjoy the beauty of this hotel to capture the “after” proposal. Leslie was overjoyed by the plan and enjoyed every minute of our session.

For a Christmas proposal, hotels are definitely great indoor locations for a session. Not only the weather is not a problem anymore but the decor of the most popular hotels is spectacular. You can also check out other hotels like The Jefferson, The Willard, or The Mayflower are going all in with their trees and Christmas lights, straight out of a Christmas movie!
