Are proposal photographers worth it?
This moment will go by like a flash, and the next moment, you’ll be walking down the aisle! Having a proposal photographer take some beautiful photos that capture your big moment from every angle will remind you of all the little details. From your first social media post announcing your engagement to your engagement party invitations and beyond, you’ll have so many events and occasions in which you’ll be so glad to have your gorgeous, professionally shot proposal pictures!
Will you help me plan my proposal?
The second you book me, we will set up a date for your consultation to start personalizing your session. We will plan your proposal together, brainstorm a location, and make your vision happen. You prepare and decide all the details so your proposal can be smooth and epic.
How far in advance should I book a proposal photographer?
Some people reserve a date a few dates before, others several months out. If you want to propose on a Saturday during the wedding season, it will be much harder to find a spot on my calendar so if you want to reserve a date, Monday through Friday might be easier to reserve well in advance.
How long do proposal photos take?
This will vary depending on the package you choose, but most proposal sessions usually last one hour. I am usually in place 20 minutes before you arrive and keep in touch by text until you are in place.
What is the difference between a proposal shoot and engagement photos?
A proposal shoot is a surprise session planned by the person popping the question and the photographer (and sometimes an event planner). Engagement shoots are not a surprise, the question was already popped, and it is planned by the couple and the photographer.
Do you offer any additional services such as videography?
I have a content creator ready to come along and film your whole proposal as well as create a short reel, easy to share with family and friends.
Can you help with planning other aspects of the proposal, such as arranging flowers or coordinating with a musician?
I have a third package that is entirely customizable to your vision. Usually, it involves a proposal planner, sometimes a florist, and a venue. Anything you want, we can make it happen!
How do I book you for my surprise proposal?
Fill out my contact form and get in touch! Once you officially reserve a date, we will book a consultation date when your partner is not around to discuss the details of your proposal.
What if it rains the day of my proposal?
I have many locations for rainy days. Be reassured that we will find a solution so you don’t have to wait another week to propose. Many museums, bars, and restaurants allow photography to happen.
When do we get the photos?
The whole gallery will be available between 2-7 days after your proposal depending on the packages you picked, and you get a sneak peek within 4 hours to share your happy news with your family (and the world).
How do you make sure that my partner doesn’t see you?
I’m a super ninja but also, we live in a big city so it’s pretty easy to pass for a tourist or someone waiting for a date. I also love taking photos of flowers, which I would probably be doing while waiting for you.
Do you offer customizable proposal packages?
I have a third package that is entirely customizable to your vision. Usually, it involves a proposal planner, sometimes a florist, and a venue. Anything you want, we can make it happen!
Can I include family and friends in the proposal photoshoot?
Of course! They are more than welcome to come along or hide as well. We can coordinate all of that together during our consultation call.
Are you available for destination proposals?
Yes, I do! Let me know where you’d like to pop the question and I’ll make it happen. A small travel fee might be added depending on the location.
How do you handle low-light situations for evening or indoor proposals?
I use professional-grade camera equipment capable of capturing clear images in challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, I have extensive experience with flashes if necessary.
