As a proposal photographer in Washington DC, I have many ideal locations when it comes to planning a proposal session. Corey wanted to plan his unique moment on a rooftop. After considering the Watergate, he ultimately decided on proposing at the Kennedy Center Rooftop Terrace. I sent him my articles on the “Top Romantic Proposal Locations in Washington DC”, and we settled on the Kennedy Center for a few reasons.
The Perfect Rooftop Location for a Proposal
First off, the view is stunning. If you’ve ever attended a show, you probably took a quick trip to the bar just to enjoy a glass of wine with the view. The Kennedy Center is located by the Potomac River, next to the Georgetown Waterfront. It truly creates dreamy pictures, and you can count on a beautiful sunset to make it even more special. The second reason was that in case of rain (yeah, nobody wants to prolong this forever), we had a great backup downstairs, around the Kennedy Center. Overall, this is a solid indoor/outdoor location, and I always recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful view and a contingency plan in case of bad weather.
Lab-Grown Engagement Ring
Corey got Samantha’s beautiful ring from Chrysella, a family-owned business. They are a multigenerational family of jewelers and gemologists providing their community with jewelry made with love. They are located just south of our nation’s capital in Woodbridge, Virginia! To find the best store to get an engagement ring, check “Best Places to Buy Engagement Rings in Washington DC”.
